WEDDINGS [Prices here]
Your wedding day is full of events you don’t ever want to forget, and I capture as many of these as is humanly possible. When the makeup artist steps back from her work to reveal a gorgeous bride, when the best man’s toast veers outside the prepared script and brings everyone to tears, when the dancing becomes surprisingly exuberant and suddenly everyone’s on the floor having a fabulous time- just look around and you’ll see me shooting like mad and thoroughly enjoying it.
I know that every wedding day is different. No matter how many times I’ve watched couples get married, I don’t know what’s going to happen next. So I follow the story as closely as possible, without getting in the way of its unfolding.
Before the wedding, I meet with you (if you’re local) and communicate by phone and email to find out more about who you are and what kinds of photos you especially like. I also visit all of the locations where I’ll be shooting on the wedding day, and plan my equipment list accordingly. After the wedding, I carefully examine, choose, and process each of your pictures. The post-wedding work done on your photos is a natural continuation of the same creative vision I had while shooting on the day of your wedding.
Once I’m done, the photos are all yours. I can create albums and prints, or you can do those things yourself; my wedding packages offer a wide range of possibilities. Whatever package you choose, you’ll get access to your photos in an online gallery; you’ll also get all of your photos on a flash drive in both print-resolution and web-resolution sizes, so you can print them, email them, and post them on the web right away.

Whether your wedding is years away or mere days away, an engagement shoot captures a never-to-be-repeated time in your history as a couple.
I spend an hour or two with you at the location of your choice- or my choice, if you want me to pick. It’s not stressful, uncomfortable, or intimidating; I don’t force you to strike ridiculous poses (though if you’re willing to try some of my zany ideas, I’ve got LOTS of them). You just show up with your betrothed, walk around and chat with me, and before you know it I’ve taken hundreds of photos that illustrate the sweetness of your courtship. I may also yell ” WORK IT” – I can’t help it…it’s one of the reasons I became a photographer…
After your engagement session, your photos will be carefully and creatively selected and processed. You’ll receive a keepsake USB key with all of your photos in both print-resolution and web-resolution sizes, so you can print them, email them, and post them on the web right away. You will also have access to your photos in an online gallery, where you can order prints, photobooks or albums.
Is your baby extremely cute, and about to turn two? Or perhaps extremely cute, and about to graduate from college? Is your llama your favorite companion, and are her eyes amazingly beautiful? Are your folks all spending the holidays in the same place, for the first time in years? Is your house looking smashing ever since you redecorated? Are you thinking that you’d like some glamorous photos of yourself, because you find you’ve been looking pretty good lately?
If any of the above conditions apply, you may need a Red Bat portrait session. I specialize in capturing the energy of connection between people, the unique atmosphere of a place, the specific charisma of an individual. I can shoot in your home, or I can work with you to choose the perfect outdoor location. My best shots always involve natural light, so I try to work with available light sources as much as possible.
After your session, your photos will be carefully and creatively selected and processed. You’ll receive a keepsake USB key with all of your photos in both print-resolution and web-resolution sizes, so you can print them, email them, and post them on the web right away. You will also have access to your photos in an online gallery, where you can order prints, photobooks and albums.
Portrait sessions start at $349 for the first hour, and each additional hour adds $200. A travel fee may apply if your chosen location is far away- please contact me with any questions.
