Your wedding day is full of events you don’t ever want to forget, and we capture as many of these as is humanly possible. When the makeup artist steps back from her work to reveal a gorgeous bride, when the best man’s toast veers outside the prepared script and brings everyone to tears, when the dancing becomes surprisingly exuberant and suddenly everyone’s on the floor having a fabulous time- just look around and you’ll see that we’re both shooting like mad and thoroughly enjoying it.

The real advantage of choosing Red Bat Photography is that you get two pro photographers, and we’re both paying attention to the action the entire day. We know that every wedding day is different. No matter how many times we’ve watched couples get married, we don’t know what’s going to happen next. So we follow the story as closely as possible, without getting in the way of its unfolding. If we do our job right, we take pictures that bring out what’s beautiful about your particular love story, and we learn something new about life while we’re at it.

Before the wedding, we meet with you (if you’re local) and communicate by phone and email to find out more about who you are and what kinds of photos you especially like. We also visit all of the locations where we’ll be shooting on the wedding day, and plan our equipment list accordingly. After the wedding, we carefully examine, choose, and process each of your pictures. The post-wedding work done on your photos is a powerful collaboration between both of your photographers, and is a natural continuation of the same creative vision we had while shooting on the day of your wedding.

Once we’re done, the photos are all yours. We can create albums, prints, and a multimedia photo presentation dvd for you, if so desired, or you can do those things yourself; our wedding packages offer a wide range of possibilities. Whatever package you choose, you’ll get access to your photos in an online gallery; you’ll also get all of your photos on a dvd in both print-resolution and web-resolution sizes, so you can print them, email them, and post them on the web right away. Whether your wedding is years away or mere days away, an engagement shoot captures a never-to-be-repeated time in your history as a couple.

We spend an hour or two with you at the location of your choice- or our choice, if you want us to pick. It’s not stressful, uncomfortable, or intimidating; we don’t force you to strike ridiculous poses (though if you’re willing to try some of our zany ideas, we’ve got LOTS of them). You just show up with your betrothed, walk around and chat with us, and before you know it we’ve taken hundreds of photos that illustrate the sweetness of your courtship.

After your engagement session, your photos will be carefully and creatively selected and processed by both of us. You’ll receive a multimedia photo presentation dvd containing the best of your photos set to music (watchable on any dvd player), plus a photo files dvd with all of your photos in both print-resolution and web-resolution sizes, so you can print them, email them, and post them on the web right away. You will also have access to your photos in an online gallery, where you can order prints, photobooks, albums, and additional copies of your dvds.

If any of the above conditions apply, you may need a Red Bat portrait session. We specialize in capturing the energy of connection between people, the unique atmosphere of a place, the specific charisma of an individual. We can shoot in your home, or we can work with you to choose the perfect outdoor location. Our best shots always involve natural light, so we try to work with available light sources as much as possible.

Portrait sessions start at $349 for the first hour, and each additional hour adds $200. A travel fee may apply if your chosen location is far away- please contact us with any questions.
